Keele International Student Scholarships (KISS): Keele University (UK) 2018 – 2019

 

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDER

Keele University was originally known as “University College of North Staffordshire” when it was founded in 1949. However, in 1962, the University received its Charter and became known as the University of Keele. The University is situated in Staffordshire, England, within the UK.

The University has numerous academic schools which full under their 3 major faculties:

  • Natural Sciences Faculty (which include the following schools: Psychology, Chemical and Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Geology and the Environment, Geography, Computing and Mathematics)
  • Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty (which include the following schools: Humanities, International Relations and Philosophy, Law, Social Science and Public Policy, Keele Management School, Politics)
  • Medicine & Health Sciences Faculty (which include the following schools: Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing & Midwifery, Health & Rehabilitation)

 

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

There are 2 types of Keele International Student Scholarships (KISS) available:

  • Undergraduate KISS Scholarship: will be awarded to the value of £2000 (approximately 760,000 Nigerian Naira) to be offset against tuition fees per study year
  • Postgraduate KISS Scholarship: will be awarded to the value of £6000 (approximately 2,300,000 Nigerian Naira) to be offset against tuition fees

 

FIELDS OF STUDY COVERED

Undergraduate, any field except: Pharmacy (4 year degree), Pharmacy (5 year degree), Medicine (5 year degree),
Postgraduate, any field except: MPhil, PhD
 

ELIGIBILITY

Please ensure that you meet these minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • International student
  • International fee payer
  • Offered a place at Keele University to study full-time towards an eligible undergraduate/ postgraduate degree
  • Have NOT yet started your studies at Keele University
  • Proven excellence in at least 2 of the following:
    • English Language ability
    • Academic qualifications
    • Work/ extra-curricular experience
    • Understanding of the motivation and course to study at the University
  • Applying for a taught masters programme at the University (for one year only) (Postgraduate applicants only)

 

HOW TO APPLY

In order to apply, you must download the KISS Scholarships Application Form (.pdf) – the same application form must be used by undergraduate and postgraduate candidates.
