ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDER

The University of Manchester was the first civic university in England. The University is based in Manchester, England, UK and was formed when the Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology merged in 2004.

The University of Manchester has a wide variety of courses in its 3 main faculties: Humanities Faculty; Science and Engineering Faculty; and the Biology, Medicine and Health Faculty.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering at The University of Manchester includes the following schools:

  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  • Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science
  • Earth and Environmental Sciences
  • Computer Science
  • Chemistry
  • Physics and Astronomy

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The University of Manchester Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences will be awarding scholarships to international 10 students, to the value of £2,000 per annum (approximately 770,000 Nigerian Naira). The scholarship will be used to help students pay their tuition fees.

Scholarships will be renewed each year (based on sustained academic performance) for a maximum duration of 4 years.

ELIGIBILITY

Please ensure that you meet these minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • International student
  • Applied to The University of Manchester for an undergraduate degree in the Engineering and Physical Sciences Faculty
  • Received an offer of a place and accepted to study at The University of Manchester as your firm choice (for studies commencing in September 2018)
  • Have submitted your exam results to the Engineering and Physical Sciences Faculty by 30 August at the latest
  • Proven academic excellence in your high school end-of-year exams (or equivalent), with academic reference on your UCAS form
